Accurate Temperature Reading
The Accu-Temp is a superb way to monitor multiple different points on the plant. This can be tied into the Accu-Track Advantage Control System or operated independently.
The Accu-Temp gives an instantaneous reading feedback on the temperature to be monitored. It is completely non-contact, therefore, has the advantage of being repeatable, not subject to wear or material build-up, so common with thermocouples or other reading devices. It can also be an indication of an upset condition on a component part or on material that is either too high a temperature or too low a temperature.
Examples of excellent points for the Accu-Temp to monitor include:
Discharge of heated aggregates from the dryer to the mixing device.
Discharge of hot mix asphalt into the slat conveyor or bucket elevator.
Shell temperature of the dryer or other equipment.
Temperature of hot mix that is being loaded into trucks from the silo.
Adjust Plant Processes with ACCURATE Temperature Reading
Through the use of non-contact digital temperature monitoring technology, multiple plant adjustments can be made, such as:
- Increasing the use of RAP or RAS based on the conductive heat available in the aggregate.
- Adjusting the feed rate to maximize production and conserve exhaust fan horsepower usage.
- Reduce hydrocarbon emissions by avoiding significant “pulldown” waste piles created on start-up or shutdown.
