The Accu-Flame
Plant Burner Control
The Accu-Flame Plant Burner Control is a rugged burner control system that is most often used to replace out-of-date burner controls that are obsolete or the original burner supplier charges exorbitant prices for customized parts or boards.
The Accu-Flame, as a replacement system, can interface with most actuators that adjust and ratio the combustion air and the fuel simultaneously.
Additionally, many safety features are built in to avoid jumping out components and circuits that are common with older burner control models.
Accu-Flame Key Features
- Full manual control capabilities allow the plant operator to control the burner drive motor in the event of a UDC-3200 temperature controller failure. An open/close push button and LED percent display are included.
- A calibration switch is incorporated in the design of the Accu-Flame™ S-600. It allows for quick burner drive motor operating verification and calibration without the need for re-wiring of the burner control.
- Individual pilot lights showing that all safety limits are “OK.” Assists the plant operator in troubleshooting problems.

Other Major Features of the Accu-Flame
- Automatically controls all functions of the combustion process from start-up, through production cycling, to shutdown with state-of-the-art burner control circuitry for a single drive motor burner.
- Utilizes the Honeywell 7800 series flame relay with LCD display. Pre-programmed by Honeywell to prompt the plant operator through the burner firing sequence. Also provides a flame strength signal to alert the plant operator of the flame intensity.
- A Honeywell UDC-3200 microprocessor temperature controller provides accurate and automatic material temperature control to a user-entered set-point.
- A Honeywell UDC-2500 microprocessor temperature limit controller provides immediate burner shutdown in the event of high baghouse gas temperatures. Two operator selectable temperature set-points provide a pre-shutdown alarm to allow the plant operator to react to the high baghouse temperatures.
- A “Safety Limits Made” indicating light is provided to show proof that all safety inputs are OK.
- The standard Accu-Flame™ S-600 Burner Control is housed in a tabletop enclosure with dimensions of 30” wide x 13” tall x 18” deep.
